Block Settings

Block Settings are controls that allow publishers to stop or restrict certain types of ads from being shown on their apps.

Our Block Settings offer control for the editorial content, competitors, and at the creative level to keep your inventory safe. Here is an overview of the three settings available below.

Categories

• Editorial Content Moderation

  You can restrict ads shown on your app/website based on the content being advertised.

  

  The following table defines each of these options. 

  Name	Description
  Strict	Ads suitable for general audiences including families (i.e., suitable for audiences of all maturity levels)
  Moderate	Ads suitable for most audiences with parental guidance
  Low	Ads suitable for teen and older audiences
  No Filtering	Ads suitable only for mature audiences

• Competitor Content Moderation

  You can block ads from competitors by entering their respective IAB categories, domain URLs, or Google Play/App Store URLs.

  

  IAB Categories are industry-standard content classification defined by the IAB Tech Lab to make content classification consistent across industries. For more information on the IAB, see IAB Tech Lab Content Taxonomy. 

• Ad Experience Moderation

  You can use the settings under this to block or keep audio control, text-only ads, interactive ads, and so on.

  

Create new Block Settings

1. Click Inventory Block Settings New Block Settings.
2. Select appropriate settings under Editorial Content Moderation, Competitor Content Moderation, and Ad Experience Moderation sections.
3. In the Name this block setting template field, enter a title for your block settings.
4. In the Apply this block settings to the following apps (optional) field, enter the names of the apps you want to apply these settings to.
5. Click Create Template.

   Note

   You can always view or edit the created Block Settings by clicking on the right end of each row.

You have successfully created a Block Setting for your inventory.

Remove Block Settings

If you want to dissociate the applied block settings from your apps or websites anytime, follow the instructions below.

You have successfully removed a Block Setting for your inventory.

1. On the Block Settings page, click at the end of the row and select Edit.
2. Under the Associated Apps section, hover on the app you want to disassociate and click Remove App.
