Default Website Placements

Overview

InMobi now offers a simplified setup for web monetization through Run of Network (RON) placements, designed to help publishers onboard and scale faster across multiple websites and mediations — without needing to create individual placement IDs per domain.

Note

RON placements are available upon request. To activate, contact us or your InMobi Account Manager.

How to Configure

  1. Enable Default Placements: Once the feature is enabled, a new inventory group named InMobiDefaultWebsite appears on the Inventory Settings page of your InMobi Supply Side Platform dashboard. This inventory group includes pre-configured placements:

    • DefaultWebPlacementForBanner
    • DefaultWebPlacementForVideo
    • DefaultWebPlacementForNative

Important

Do not edit or create new placements within the InMobiDefaultWebsite inventory group, as it may affect performance and tracking.

  1. Map Default Placement IDs: Placement ID mapping is not needed for APS/GOB integrations. For Prebid or oRTB, copy the relevant Placement IDs for Banner, Video, or Native placements and map these IDs to corresponding ad formats in your integration setup. Incoming traffic from unmapped domains will automatically monetize using these default placements.

    • Example for the Placement setup for Banner format (Similar Placement IDs exist for Video and Native formats):
      • Placement Name: DefaultWebPlacementForBanner
      • Placement ID: [Your Default Placement ID]
  2. Review Associated Websites: Check the list of websites and their statuses under the Website Names tab on your dashboard.

Block Settings

Navigate to the Block Settings tab and follow the instructions to create a block. In case you have already set your block, follow the instructions below:

  1. Navigate to the Block Settings tab.
  2. Select your preferred Block Setting and click Edit.
  3. Apply to InMobiDefaultWebsite to implement across all connected domains. Otherwise, you can also search for the child domain to apply specific block settings. Block settings applied to the child domain will override the InMobiDefaultWebsite block settings..

Note

For custom block settings, contact your InMobi Account Manager or raise a support ticket.
