help-articles | Request Mode Reporting

The InMobi reporting interface shows data based on request mode reporting. This means that the metrics shown are tied to the time at which the ad request entered our system.

Take a look at the example below:

When did the requests and impressions come?

  • On Day 1, the ad was served for three requests: r1, r2, and r3.
  • As a result, the ad got three impressions on Day 1: i1, i2, and i3.

When did the clicks happen?

  • i1 resulted in a click on Day 1, say, c1.
  • i2 resulted in another click on Day 1, say, c2.
  • i3 came in at the end of Day 1 and so resulted in a click, say, c3, only on Day 2

When did the installs happen?

  • c1 led to an install on Day 3, say, in1
  • c2 led to an install on Day 4, say, in2
  • c3 led to an install on Day 3, say, in3.

Note: Installs are counted when the user opens the app for the first time. So, it is possible that an install could happen in a few days after the click happened.

Depending on when you measured the data, the metrics on the InMobi reporting dashboard for Day 1 could vary like this:
